10.4 The senior MacHamish line now

In terms of the most senior MacHamish line at this time it depends on what you mean by ‘senior’.
My elder brother is the most senior known MacHamish Gunn whose antecedents always held the suname Gunn but he is not the most senior of my family.[1] As said, my line descends from the Coroner in three different ways. The most senior line descends from Margaret (10,23) who was the daughter of ‘Chief’ Donald Crotach Gunn (9,15) see Appendices 1 and 2.
Margaret’s (10,23) probably more senior brother Lt-Col. William Gunn (10,22) has Dutch descendants but these have not held the surname Gunn for many generations and only have the one descent from the Coroner as far as I am aware.[2]
It is possible that George ‘Corrish’ Gunn (10,20) descendants may exist; if so they might also have a continual male line named Gunn.
***
[1] My family fulfils the Lord Lyon type demands for ‘Chief’ as far as I understand them - see the last Appendix.
[2] The line is ineligible for ‘Chief ‘– Lord Lyon (I believe) ruled against them due to the renouncing of loyalty to the British throne.
