I found this most interesting for the genealogy of the Rev. Dr. William Gunn (Futuna New Hebrides) and some Badbea Gunn family stories. I note Rev. Dr William Gunn retires to Australia, with descendants.

Dr Gunn ‘is the son of the late James Gunn, elder of Westerdale Free Church (my lot were from just up the road at Tormsdale and would have gone to the Westerdale Free Church) who had the mills there for some time, born at Badbea, Berriedale in 1819, and died at Westerdale 17th February 1893, son of John Gunn Badbea, one of The Men, the frined of John Sutherland or John ‘Badbea’... James was taught by Murdo Mackay Ramscrags, went to Helmsdale, wher he married a M’Leod... Rev. Charles Thomason... singing powers... nephew died at Livingstonia Central Africa ... James Liberal...buried at Helmsdale ... Another of his sons is George North Public School Wick...’
