I record the death of my father Jack Alexander Gunn (December 1921- February 2016).
Jack first petitioned to be ‘Chief of the Clan Gunn’ in the early 1960s and continued to do so until the early 1990s when, with increasing age, he became less interested in the process. For more on the Braehour line which was the basis of this claim see http://clangunn.weebly.com/clan-gunn-chief---braehour-line.html.
Jack was very pleased to learn in 2015 that, following new research, he was the most senior person of the most senior family to have always held the surname Gunn from Gunn Coroner (often wrongly called George Gunn Crowner) which is the traditional ‘Clan Gunn Chief’ line. Much loved; much missed.
